Bottega Veneta is an Italian company that makes luxury leather goods, including designer shoes, handbags, luggage, wallets, briefcases and also accessories including jewellery, sunglasses and fragrance. Bottega Veneta was a family company that was started in 1966 by Vittorio and Laura Moltedo. It was bought out by Gucci in 2001 but the Bottega Veneta brand remains.
Bottega Veneta is known first and foremost for its hand woven leather goods, including some gorgeous shoes.
Bottega Veneta has boutiques across Europe, the US, Asia and the Middle East (but not Israel). Asia, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. The stores in the UK are located on 33 Sloane Street and 16 Old Bond Street in London. The brand is also stocked by the top drawer department store Harvey Nichols.
