Clarks is a well known British shoe company that has been on our High Streets for many years, and now has an online presence.
The company specialises in footwear including shoes, boots and sandals, for men, women and children. They are particularly well known for their range of kids shoes, providing footwear for boys and girls from 0 - 12 years. Their range of kid's school shoes is very popular, as the shoes are long lasting and available in a range of width fittings. They can also be expertly fitted in store.
The range of women's shoes at Clarks currently includes some very lady like and elegant shoes inspired by the kitten heels of the 1950s and early 1960s. Styles have tapered toes with a palette or animal prints, tweed and bright red with bow embellishment to the toes. They also have a range of toning handbags.
The latest collection of Clarks women's shoes is the Mary Portas & Clarks collection, which is a range of wearable and stylish shoes perfect for a woman's lifestyle. The range includes court shoes, wedges, Mary Jane shoes, loafers, strappy sandals, calf length boots, knee high boots and ankle boots in leathers in a variety of finishes including patent leather, metallic leather and nubuck.
The range of men's shoes has contemporary classics such as "Goto Wing", a brogue style with a classic English country look, "GoFor Walk", an every day shoe made from full grain leather and "Crafting Life", a smooth black leather shoe with welted leather sole. There is also the "Boot Camp", which has a range of contemporary, on trend utility boots in cutting edge styles, the "Great Outdoors" which is a range of boots with rugged uppers, cleated soles and masculine styling and "Fashion Fusion", a range of sports inspired styles of leather trainers and boat shoes.
Clarks was founded in 1825 in Street, Somerset by James Clark. He worked alongside his brother Cyrus at a tannery where sheepskin rugs were made. James thought it would be a good idea to make slippers from the offcuts, which marked the start of the sheepskin slipper, and the beginning of Clarks the shoe company.
The best place is directly from the Clarks website, although delivery is only possible to addresses within the UK and Northern Island. Please note that home delivery is available for adult styles only, but in-store collection is available for both kids and adult shoes.
