L.K. Bennett is a high end High Street store selling quality shoes, boots, sandals, bags and fashionable clothing. The company was founded by Linda Bennett, from whom it takes its name. Linda Bennett is famed for her designs which are easy to wear and stylish. The clothing designs include belted dresses and fitted skirt suits - for evening the emphasis in on glamour with gorgeous cocktail dresses.
Linda trained in Footwear Design at Cordwainers College in Hackney, London. Beatrix Ong is also a graduate of this college! Initially, Linda designed handbags and sold them to Harvey Nichols, before setting up on her own. The first L K Bennett store was opened in Wimbledon in 1990, and she is now the proud owner of more than one hundred L.K. Bennett stores and concessions across the UK, Jersey, Dublin and Paris. L.K. Bennett stores offer affordable yet glamourous clothing and shoes with designer looks but (closer to) High Street prices.
Many celebrities shop at L.K. Bennett and have been seen wearing her designs, including Jodie Kidd, Minnie Driver, Joan Collins, Kate Moss, Sadie Frost, Gwen Stefani, Nigella Lawson and Penelope Cruz. I myself am the proud owner of a pair of silver cracked leather L.K. Bennett sandals, and a pair of teal suede leather knee high L.K. Bennett boots.
