Lulu Guinness is a British fashion designer, known for her quirky and eccentric handbags. Unlike the majority of fashion designers, she never attended fashion college or design school, although she did complete a foundation course in art. Lulu Guinness's designs are humourous and witty, incorporating cheeky slogans and fun designs, such as a purse in the shape of a pair of lips.
Lulu Guinness launched her company in 1989. Whilst originally she just designed bags, in 2001 she launched her very own range of designer shoes in conjunction with Lambert Howarth, a British shoe manufacturer. Many experts refer to Lulu's designs as "tomorrow's treasures" and they are already on display in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
Many celebrities and TV personalities carry Lulu's designs including Keira Knightly, Helena Bonham Carter, Jemima Khan, Debra Messing, Rachel Weisz, Scarlett Johannson and Dita Von Teese.

The Lulu Guinness brand is sold both department stores and speciality boutiques across the globe. In the UK, her designs can be found in Harrods, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols in addition to local exclusive boutiques. There are also two Lulu Guinness boutiques in the UK, both of which are in London - one in the Royal Exchange and one on Ellis Street (off Sloane Street).
