Marc Jacobs is a very successful and celebrated fashion designer, born on 9th April, 1963. He is a graduate of the Parsons School of Design, an emminent design school in New York. Marc Jacobs designs shoes, boots, bags, sunglasses and ready to wear dresses, coats and knitwear. He has also designed the patterns on a number of Louis Vuitton bags, where he is creative director. He created the first ready to wear collection for Louis Vuitton. Marc Jacobs launched the "Marc Jacobs" line in 1986, and in 1987 he became the youngest ever designer to receive the Perry Ellis Award for The Best Newcomer, by the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
In 2001, he created another line - "Marc by Marc Jacobs". The latter line is more affordable and includes accessories such as shoes and bags. Typical embellishments include bows, pockets, buckles and polka dots. Dresses are often smocked, with large bows and buttons, or ruffles and puff sleeves.
Marc Jacobs was accused of plagiarism in February 2008. A scarf from his latest collection allegedly bore the same pattern as a scarf by the Swedish designer Gösta Olofsson. Jacobs had apparently bought the original scarf at a flea market. The matter was settled via an out of court compensation arrangement between Marc Jacobs and Goran Olofsson, the son of Gösta.
Many "A" list celebrities wear Marc Jacobs designs, including Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Alba, Demi Moore, Mischa Barton, Rachel Bilson, Carmen Electra, Nicole Richie, Ashlee Simpson, Naomi Watts and Sienna Miller.

The only Marc Jacobs boutique is in London, at 24-25 Mount Street in Mayfair. However, Marc Jacobs shoes, bags and sunglasses are available for purchase online from a number of websites, some of which offer very cheap, discounted prices compared to the RRP.
The sites I would recommend include:
All of the above sites will also deliver to customers based in the EU, US and Canada. Many of them also offer worldwide delivery.
